This dense, rich chocolate cake was made and decorated by my dad for my friend's 21st birthday. He makes the frosting himself as well. He doesn't have the key-shaped pan so what he does is make 2 cakes and cut out the shape himself. He's pretty ingenious, my dad. He's made this design a few times already. But other 21st requests have seen him shaping the cake into the numbers 2 and 1 and most recently, he had a request to do it in Roman numerals, XXI. That was pretty cool. A waste I didn't get a shot.

Sugee Wedding Cake
Here's a few (blurry) pictures I took of the wedding cake my dad made recently. Both tiers are real cakes as opposed to dummies some hotels provide. His tallest one is five-tiers. This is the traditional Sugee Cake. He covers the Sugee Cake with homemade marzipan (which me and Lauren can't stop snacking on). And on top of the marzipan he decorates the cake with Royal Icing. Momma is the decorater and you have her to thank for the decorated knife (not shown in the pics) and the assembly of roses. So Gorgeous and Yummylicious!
